Day Two

Day Two, started off with a surprise as we were informed that Thirty Seconds To Mars would be performing at 11.45am on the Future Sounds stage.

The band were due to perform on the Saturdays main stage at 3.55pm but after waiting for nearly an hour an announcement was made that they wouldn’t be performing due to technical difficulties.

Front man for the band Jared Leto got the crowd going with the early Sunday start. Dressed in dark glasses, a long red coat and a checked shirt he addressed the Dundee crowd with a bit of humour…’I guess this is the breakfast show’…’I should have brought pancakes or something. What do you eat in Scotland?

The final day of the festival had Lewis Capaldi and Brit award winners Wet Leg performing on the main stage, with Anne-Marie, Royal Blood, Nothing But Thieves and former One Direction singer Niall Horan performing to the huge crowds.

On the Future Sound Stage Cat Burns, Ashnikko, Cassyette, Irish rock band Inhaler, Arlo Parks, Raye and Sub Focus performed.

The final day was full of surprises as Royal Blood singer Mike Kerr mocked the crowd by saying they didn’t know who the band were. “Well, I guess I should introduce ourselves seeing as no one actually knows who we are,” “We’re called Royal Blood and this is rock music.  Who likes rock music?  Kerr turned on the crowd again during the set saying “we are having to clap ourselves because that was so pathetic.” At the end of the performance Kerr left the stage by giving the middle finger to the fans.

The second surprise of the night was during Niall Horan performance. Headliner for the night, Lewis Capaldi got the crowd into a frenzy as he ran on stage to give his friend a hug.

Two acts that I really wanted to capture came at the BBC Introducing Stage was Brooke Combe and Tom A. Smith sadly it was too difficult to fit all the acts in due to the time schedules overlapping.
