Live at Fat Sam’s Dundee
28th Nov 2022
As a photographer I’ve had Manchester band the Pale Waves on my radar to photograph for a few years now and they didn’t disappoint…well not with the performance anyway.
Photographing a normal gig, you would be allowed the first three songs but tonight it was the first song only which was a disappointment but as a professional photographer I would just have to work harder and faster to tell the story of the night.
Fat Sam’s in Dundee is always a place that I like to photograph bands. It’s a small venue but when you have a full house packed with Pale Waves fans then the place is electric.
The crowd of young Pale Wave followers gathered for support act and Instagram sensation Abbey Roberts to open the gig.
By 9.30 the place was packed to full capacity as Heather Baron-Gracie and her band took to the stage and let fans hear new tracks such as Lies, Your So Vain, Clean, Alone, Reason to Live and Unwanted all from the new album titled Unwanted.
You Don’t Own Me, Who Am I and Change all from the second album went down well with the fans as well as debut album favourites like Television Romance, Eighteen and There’s a Honey.
The band finished off the night with a two-song encore with My Religion and another new track… Jealousy to send the fans home happy.
