The Snuts

Live at the Lemon Tree Aberdeen

27th Oct 2022

One of the most exciting acts in the UK right now are Scottish Indie rockers The Snuts and they played The Lemon Tree in Aberdeen as part of new album launch ‘Burn The Empire’

It didn’t matter that the country is in a recession right now, you knew that this was going to be a good night. With a young crowd forming down the street you could feel a buzz about this album launch gig before the doors even opened.

I had been looking forward to photographing the Snuts for a while, but some disappointment was coming my way. On arrival I was told that I had no pit access due to how small the venue was but after a conversation with management some kind of normal service resumed and getting some images of the Snuts was back on.

Following the release of the Snuts number 1 debut album ‘WL’ in 2021 the crowd were up for this from the off.

When the stage went dark, Jack Cochrane strolled out with the other band members wearing dark sunglasses and played a range of hit like Glasgow, Always, Seasons and Maybe California as well as new tracks Rodeo, Zuckerpunch, Knuckles and Blah, Blah, Blah.

The energy between the band and the fans was electric, and at times It was hard to hear Cochrane sing as the Lemon Tree crowd sang along to the bands amazing catalogue of indie track.

For anyone not been to a Snuts gig then I have to say this band is on a roll so grab your tickets next time, they are a must see.
